THE COUNCIL of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (ºÚÁÏÍø¹ÙÍø), Kumasi, announces that the position of the REGISTRAR of the University shall become vacant on 1ST AUGUST, 2025.

THE UNIVERSITY

Established in October 1951, ºÚÁÏÍø¹ÙÍø is the foremost and leading Science and Technology institution in Ghana and one of the most esteemed in Africa. The Times Higher Education in 2023, adjudged ºÚÁÏÍø¹ÙÍø as the best University for the provision of Quality Education (SDG 4) globally. ºÚÁÏÍø¹ÙÍø has a Student Population of over 80,000 and staff strength of 6,050. The University provides an environment for teaching, research and entrepreneurship training in science and technology for the industrial and socio-economic development of Ghana, and the world at large. ºÚÁÏÍø¹ÙÍø is positioned to attract scholars, industrialists and entrepreneurs from Africa and the international community.

THE POSITION

• The Registrar is Secretary to the University Council as provided by the Act.
• He/She shall serve as the Chief Administrative Officer of the University under the Vice-Chancellor.
• He/She shall provide strategic advice and briefings to the Vice-Chancellor and is expected to provide leadership across a wide range of University activities.

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

• A minimum of a Master’s Degree with not less than Ten (10) years post-qualification working experience in a tertiary educational institutionÌý or analogous body; and,
• Must be at least a Deputy Registrar or equivalent grade;
• Candidates with substantial Senior Management experience in a large, complex and decentralised organisation, may be considered.
